It comes a time, when you just have to RESET…
Dear Friends,Â
Today is the last day of the month. And I thought I better squeeze in a post, or else I would only have had 2 posts for the entire month!
The reason that I have not been blogging as often as I should is not because I have nothing to blog about. On the contrary, I have been so busy, I have not had the time to blog. (Excuses?!) Haha!
Truth is, I really have been swarmed with work recently. Running a dating company, looking to launch another dating site, running events & seminars, training to be a certified coach and being a mummy at the same time… have taken its toll on me. Something’s gotta give, as they say.
Another thing I have been struggling with when it comes to updating my blog is…
How personal or detached should it be?
It used to be a lot easier… most of my audience are my friends, and maybe a handful of fellow bloggers who happened to stumble upon my blog. But now, it is very much in the public domain, and truth is, anybody could be reading it now. My friends, my mum (yes – my mum just got hooked on the Internet recently, hehe), my business partners, my business rivals, potential clients… and the list goes on.
And then, there are expectations… some people expect this to be a blog about dating tips. Some expect dating advice. I have realised that friends rarely read my blog nowadays, as most of my entries are no longer about myself personally.
And to a certain extent, that defeats the purpose of why i started my blog in the first place.
All of a sudden… it becomes very obvious why I am not as enthusiastic about blogging as I used to be…
And you know what, I think that is just about to change… stay tuned.
*Pressing RESET Button*
Sincerely, Violet
P/S Happy 50th Birthday, Malaysia!
