The Maker knows Best

This item was filled under [ Bits & Pieces, Life Lessons ]

I have so much to update you, and I do not even know where to start. But for starters, let me share with you this quote that I heard from TV a couple of days ago. I personally find it very reassuring and inspiring.

For those of you who believe in God (no matter what your religion might be), I think you will find this quote uplifting too.

I can’t remember the exact words, or the TV serial that I got this from… I can’t even remember the storyline, or the person who said it… but when it was said, it was like ‘DING’ – an eureka moment for me! :)

“No one will be given more than he or she can handle.”

It is such a beautiful perspective of looking at things.

When we start to complain and moan about life injustices, instead of blaming others, we can be proud and say, “Hey… the Maker believes that I am capable / brave / strong / courageous / insert your own adjective enough to overcome this challenge!”

Isn’t that so empowering?

It’s just like stories that I have read about parents to special children. Some of them are just so amazing! Instead of bemoaning their fate, they are grateful that they have been chosen to look after God’s special ones.

Some of you might be thinking… “Violet, you siao (means crazy in Hokkien) ah? After the operation got brain damage?” Haha! Oh, that was where I was over the weekend, undergoing a minor operation, which I will tell you more about soon. That was quite an experience!

But seriously, that quote to me was simply… wow!

It brings upon a new dawn, a brand-new realisation, a refreshed and rejuvenated me. :)

voila …I came across this exact same phrase when I did my reflection by listening to a cd sermon two nights ago. It’s indeed inspiring and very uplifting. I find myself rejuvenated and motivated after that.

By the way, hope you get well soon.

    God Bless!

Welcome back Violet. Eh, what was the minor operation for? Hope it didn’t affect your pregnancy. :-)

    Hey Jacqueline-

Thanks for dropping by! :) Amazingly inspiring isn’t it? :) Just gives me strength to continue when I think I cannot do it, or it’s just too tough.

    Sincerely,
    Violet

You are most welcome Violet. In fact, I have been reading your blog when I “stumbled” into Lunch Actually. Interesting!

And you know what, after I put down my comment yesterday, I continued reading this book, and on that chapter this phrase appeared again but in biblical form. (1 Corinthian 10:13) The phrase continues that, even when you are burden with heavy load, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. I was like .. wow .. Is this coincidence or what?

I feel forever young and I trust you also feel the same. =)

    Hey Rudy-

I have emailed you the Indian traffic media clip I promised you. :)

And also, I am recovering well from the operation. :) Think my doctor will be in a fit if he knows what I have been up to even though I have been asked to stay home for 2 weeks… :)

Baby is doing well. Going for checkup again soon… will be posting up another baby ‘photo’ soon. :)

    Sincerely,
    Violet

    Hi Jacqueline,

Once again, thanks for your support!

I agree with you… life works in the most amazing ways. There are always inspiring words out there to keep us going as long as we keep our eyes and our hearts open. :)

    Have a fantastic weekend ahead!

    Sincerely,
    Violet
